All of Sheba’s dogs are vaccinated, dewormed, given flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, and spayed or neutered before going to their new homes.

Have you ever heard someone say, “If you can’t afford to pay adoption fees, then you can’t afford to have a dog”? You won’t hear that from us. We believe that money should never stand in the way of a dog finding a loving home. That’s why we don’t charge adoption fees—because the true cost of pet ownership goes far beyond a one-time payment.

Caring for a dog means ongoing medical needs. Vaccinations are spread out over months, spaying and neutering happen when the dog is the right age and weight, and flea, tick, and heartworm prevention requires monthly or yearly treatments. No one pays for all of this upfront, and we don’t expect approved adopters to either.

We do not sell dogs, nor do we rescue them expecting repayment. Our mission is clear: to help dogs live joyful lives with families who truly love them. We will never make a dog wait for a forever home just because of money. The only requirement is a verifiable veterinary reference to ensure every adopter can provide the care each dog deserves. If at any time you become unable or unwilling to care for your dog and cannot find a loving new home, we will always welcome them back. Always. Reach out to us for support.
